Our hackathon design focused on creating a viable, innovative hardware solution for feminine hygiene products dispensing that would allow public users to find the closest dispenser and ensure that products would never run out. Our solution was to develop a hardware and software prototype consisting of an Arduino-controlled dispenser, paired with a custom web-based monitoring application tracking locations of dispensers, inventory/ordering prompts, and customized secure monthly cycle tracking. This project won Major League Hacking’s sponsorship prize.
